Meet Megan Kullick

Owner and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Megan's passion for counseling grew from her own experience with therapy and post-traumatic growth. Through her personal healing journey, she discovered the transformative impact of having a safe, supportive space to process life's challenges, make meaning of difficult experiences, and reconnect with herself. This experience inspired her to help others feel understood, supported, and less alone in their own journeys.

Megan believes that emotional safety is the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work. She understands that vulnerability can feel uncomfortable, especially when sharing the parts of ourselves we've learned to hide or protect. Her priority is creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can show up authentically, explore their experiences at their own pace, and feel accepted exactly as they are.

Her approach is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Megan believes therapy is not only about finding relief from distress, but also about creating a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and aligned with the authentic self. She believes healing creates space for deeper relationships, greater purpose, and the freedom to move through life with intention rather than simply surviving it.

Background and Experience

Megan received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Auburn University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her experiences working with individuals and families have shaped the compassionate and trauma-informed approach she brings into each session.

In addition to her work as a private practitioner, Megan has supported children and adolescents through the Children and Family Services Department in Alabama, where she helped teach coping skills, emotional regulation, and tools for navigating uncomfortable emotions. She has also worked with teen mothers and girls in the foster care system through Crittenton Services of North Carolina, supporting them through healing, identity development, and building a stronger sense of self. Additionally, Megan has provided support to survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault through Safe Alliance.

Megan’s Approach

Using a trauma-informed approach as the foundation of care, Megan creates a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space for clients to explore their experiences and work toward healing. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Gestalt techniques to support each client’s unique needs and goals.

Recognizing that every client’s story, experiences, and needs are unique, Megan takes a personalized approach to therapy that is thoughtfully tailored to each individual and the concerns they bring into the space. She deeply values creating emotional safety within the therapeutic relationship, believing that feeling seen, supported, and secure is an essential part of the healing process.
